Contact the editors
Corrections are the messages we most want to receive. Here is how to reach us and what to include.
Screen Level is written and maintained by a small editorial team. Messages are read by a person, and we try to reply to anything that needs a reply within a few working days.
The general address is editor [at] brightnessroom.com. Replace the bracketed word with the usual symbol; the address is written this way to reduce automated collection.
To help us answer quickly, please include:
- The Windows version, from Settings › System › About.
- Whether the display is built into a laptop or connected externally.
- How it is connected, including any dock, hub, adapter or switch in the path.
- What you expected to happen and what happened instead.
Corrections
Errors of fact are the messages we most want to receive. If an article gives a menu path that no longer exists, describes behaviour that does not match your hardware, or states something that is simply wrong, tell us which page and what you observed. Corrections are made promptly and noted on the page where the change is substantial.
Article suggestions
If a brightness question is not answered anywhere on this site, that is useful information. Suggestions that describe a real situation in detail are far more likely to become an article than a one-line topic request.
We cannot provide individual repair advice, diagnose hardware faults remotely, or comment on whether a specific machine is worth keeping. For a display that is physically failing, the manufacturer's support channel is the right destination.
What we do not accept
Screen Level does not publish guest articles, sponsored placements, paid links or product mentions arranged in advance. Messages proposing any of these will not receive a reply. This policy exists so that readers can take everything on the site at face value.
Privacy of correspondence
Messages are used only to answer the message. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list and we do not pass addresses to anyone else. Retention and handling are described on the privacy policy page.
